Marriage is one of these gifts.

It is given so that a man and a woman may pledge themselves to one another in a covenant of love, promising to live together for the rest of their lives.‘

These words are from the Church in Wales Marriage Service and set the scene for the embarking on a life of love, commitment, longevity and joy by couples as they join together in holy matrimony. The marriage ceremony is a profound mix of solemnity and celebration and the beginning, or the next step, we hope, of a long and fulfilling life together.
