Pastoral Team Report April 2024

We have a dedicated pastoral team of 10 members who have been busy throughout the past year keeping in touch with the congregation, and helping to maintain a link with the church family and clergy.

The team met on 19th December 2023 and prepared and distributed a total of 54 Christmas hampers to the local communities of Caldicot, Rogiet and Portskewett. Recipients included members of the congregations who are sick or infirm, those unable to attend church, carers, those on their own and members of the community who attend the Tuesday Eucharist and Friday Community Club, as well as some who don’t attend our churches who were recommended to the team via a social worker.

Our pastoral team comprises clergy and volunteers from all three churches, Caldicot, Portskewett and Rogiet.

The team members are always available to offer friendship and support, and will gladly arrange home visits and home communion where requested.

This Easter the Pastoral team also distributed to the sick and the housebound, Palm Crosses and Easter cards with a small gift of a Pocket Cross containing The Lord’s Prayer, kindly made by Moira Ayres.
